New Love Stamps

Has anyone found the new love stamps yet? I want to send out my invites in about two weeks and so far two post offices I've visited do not have them.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I don't think the new Love stamps will be available until mid-August. Check it out on www.usps.com, then click on postal store, then release schedule.

If not the Post Office had told me weeks ago they would be there in August. Had to put regular ones on mine.

Re: New Love Stamps

That really stinks! What do you think about putting the old love stamps on with the additional 3 stamp postage?

I didn't really want to send them out without the love stamps...but at least I know I'm not the only bride.

You figure the post office would put them out since they know brides send out invites!!!

I don't know if they will even have the onld love stamps anymore. Also it might be more then 3cents because the standard invite use to be 57cents and the price went up 3 cents on 34 but it might of went up more on 57 cents.... not sure ...sorry

Re: New Love Stamps

I sent my invitations out 1.5 weeks ago, and used the 57 cent love stamps and a 3 stamp. When I got to the point of putting the stamps on, I really could of cared less about what it looked like! It looked fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

My post office said the love stamps wouldn't come out until January. Who knows!

According to the USPS site, they will be available 8/16.

I am with Melissa on this one, no one will notice the stamps - just the invitation! This is REALLY one of those things we have no control over The new 37 cent stamps have old fashioned cars which is kind of cute or flags which are fine too. I haven't seen the 60 cent stamps yet - we're getting them tomorrow so we can send out the invites on Wednesday

The new love stamps won't be out until mid-August. I got the number off the www.usps.com web site and ordered the 57 cent loves stamps over the phone. You can also order the wedding postage kit which has the 57 cent love stamps, 34 cent love stamps, 3 cent regular stamps and a rate card. If you order them they will take about 3 weeks to come unless you special deliver them for about $10 more which is what I did.

Re: New Love Stamps

I just bought stamps on Friday, and was thoroughly confused about the new rates, and stamps. I was told by 2 different Post offices that the 'special issue' stamps will not be out until August which includes the love stamps.

If you're invites are more than 1 oz., the $0.60 stamps look like a watercolor landscape....very pretty. As far as the $0.37 stamps there was either the flag, or the 9/11 ones.
The 9/11 stamps are maybe 45 cents with the extra money going to FEMA for 9/11. They are a little big for my response cards, but I bought them anyway, especially since most people don't even notice the stamps.

Good luck.

Re: New Love Stamps

I sent out my invitations the week after the postal rate change. I had to buy a $0.60 stamp, it was of the Grand Canyon, and it was actually kind of pretty. For the response cards, the stamps had little birds and swirls on it (hard to describe). Although I wanted the 'Love' stamps, I was content with the replacements, at least they had a common theme-nature.

Re: New Love Stamps

Just an FYI-
My friend is a postal worker, and the new Love series will be available August 16. I saw a black/white photo of it...reminds me of the 70s...not too bad though.

This is a very pretty $0.60 stamp available on usps.com

That one is pretty Valenia. Maybe I'll do a 'nature' theme. I have too many other things to stress about than what kind of stamps I'm going to use!

Thanks for all your input everyone!!

Re: New Love Stamps

I just went to the post office on saturday and they told me the same thing, Love stamps wont be out till the 16th. Anyone else out there spending 83 cents on their invites? I have to get an 80 cent stamp with an Alaskan mountain, plus the 3 cent rate change! I cant believe how much this is costing!!!!

PS-You can get 'audobon' stamps for 37 cents. They're just birds if you dont like the patriotic one they have out now.
