new moon girls

My niece wants this movie for her birthday. Is it appropriate for a 12 year old?

TIA

hmmm...sex wise, it is OK...there is romance, guys w/no shirts, kissing...thats all (right?? did i have a brain fart?? lol)

violence wise, its a little more intense, with the wolves fighting n stuff, but i mean, if she's into it, and knows that the vampires and wolves aren't real, I think it's OK

She loves all that vampire stuff and she did read the book. Just wanted to make sure there wasnt any real sexy scenes in it.

Thanks girls

Breaking Dawn , the honeymoon scene should be interesting. I bet they cut all of that out....oh well.

There's no way they are gonna show even a little bit! Unfortunately. I'd love to see some pillow ripping good times. Hahaha.

But New Moon and even Eclipse should definitely be 12 y/o appropriate.

Re: new moon girls

if she read it.. then she already knows what happens...
one of my students mothers read it and watched it.. as did her daughter, she felt there was ONE part that wasn't appropriate, and its not something most people would notice, (or at least the other moms didn't) but there's the part when bellas looking out the window and it shows just how depressed she is and how long.. she said that for a growing child who is starting to 'date' its teaching them how to mourn a fallen relationship in an unhealthy way.

but violence/sex wise.. there's no sex, just top-less boys, that you see EVERYWHERE anyway... and the violence is minimal compared to the james/edward fight scene in twilight and whats to come in eclipse.
