Emeril's Restaurant was amazing!!!
He also has another restaurant called NOLA that was really good, but I liked Emeril's better.

Re: new Orleans recommendation!

We stayed at the St Anne marie Antoinette in March. I went with 3 girlfriends and we had a wonderful time!

I cant complain about the room at all, though it was small. We got a GREAT deal on Expedia. It had a lot of old character, fireplace in the lobby, old wood furniture, Large portrait of SAMA, etc. It was right off of Burbon on Conti (I think) It was a great location for us because we wanted to be accessible to the party atmosphere, yet we didnt hear any of the noise from the street! Also alot of the hotel workers were young so they helped us decide where to go and whatnot! They were also really nice becuase our AC leaked and they switched us right away even though it really messed everything up because they were book w/ a wedding that weekend!

Originally I wanted to stay at a hotel on Canal but I am not so glad I didnt! It was perfect for us becuase it was cheap and we were a 25 second walk from the bars!!

We always stay at the Omni Royal New Orleans on St. Louis St. It's a block away from Bourbon and have very cool local bar on the side street. They frequently have great weekend deals & join their frequent guest program for earlier check in and upgrades.

Commander's Palace is an amazing restaurant but it's pretty expensive- we usually go for brunch. Amazing food and service!

Brennan's & Mr. B's are other favored restaurants.

In the sonesta hotel their is a place called Desire which has the most delicious po-boys.

Cafe du monde is a must for beignets and coffee. Pat O'briens is a must for Hurricaines.

We stayed at the Ramada Plaza. I defintely would recomend if you want to be in the middle of all the action on Bourbon street. The room was nice, you can get a room on Bourbon Street with a balcony... so you can throw beads at people... or you can get one facing the courtyard, which is much quieter!

We booked through Ramada's website and got a great deal. FM if you need more info.

I think we stayed at the Ramama Plaze too and it was very nice but RIGHT in the middle of Bourbon St so it was VERY loud. We were out everynight and got in like 2- I dont think we went ot bed before 4am any night because of the noise! So if you are cool with that, then its a great place cuz of the location but if not, stay off BourbonSt. I LOVE New Orleans. There was a great breakfast place around the corner from the Ramada called Petunia's. Also, a place called Mothers is kinda famous- not romantic though.

My brother and his girlfriend recently stayed at Le Pavillion and highly recommended it. It's a few blocks from Bourbon-near the business and warehouse district. They loved the rooftop pool, and the pb & j and hot chocolate served as a late night snack every evening.

Only downside was that the business district can get quiet at night-while it's ok to walk to Bourbon, they felt better taking cabs home.

My friends and I used to go to Jazz Fest every year and always stayed at the Royal Sonesta on Bourbon. We usually got rooms facing the courtyard-never a problem with noise from Bourbon St. There always seem to be sales and specials for the Sonesta-shop around.

We were never able to snag a table at Emerils-heard that it's awesome. I've also heard great things about Victor's at the Ritz Carlton...romantic, elegant, jacket and tie sort of place.

We stayed at the International House- it's a boutique hotel- CD players in room, Aveda products, nice bar in lobby and excellent room service. It's within walking distance to French Quarter (about 5 minutes).

Emerils was excellent.. I know there are a few others we ate at- but of course the whole trip is in a fog of alcohol induced amnesia.
