New phone plan question

Right now at tmobile I am paying 50 something (before taxes) for 1000 anytime minutes and free nights and weekends.

Does anyone pay less than this with another plan??
I want to change.

I am leaving T-Mobile on Jan. 11th because my contract is up on the 10th. I looked into Verizon because my family, FH and alot of my friends have it and they have that 'in' plan where you can talk to anyone who has Verizon for free.

You get 400 minutes, free nights and weekends, the IN thing for $39.99. Plus I fell in love with one of their camera phones.
