New Recycling Policy/Program at Work.

So the owner's daughter is BIG on things like recycling and the environment...FINE.

We now have a recycling 'dumpster' [but our cleaning lady puts trash in it ] which we received a PAPER memo about...all employees.



Well, when the snazzy blue recycling bins arrived and were placed throughout the building, we got ANOTHER PAPER memo delivered to EACH employee.

It's kind of odd don't you think, let's get everyone to stop wasting paper and recycle by sending out multiple PAPER memos on it that most will throw away...I checked, I'm the only one smart enough to stick the memos in the bins.

Umm... E-mail anyone?

I know here at school it took two years, 2!! For the administration to finally STOP printing out attendance lists and bulletins on 2 separate sheets of paper and putting them in our mailbox - so per day that was over 200 sheets of paper just for that!

We all have laptops and now receive these memos in e-mail form daily. It has saved our district TONS of paper and fees for the constantly broken photo copiers. They actually do break down LESS now that we use e-mail.

The genius of it all... technology FINALLY at work....

We have email. We don't have recycle bins. But we DO have plenty of ridiculous memos.

I've been trying to get the email train going for years now!!!!!!

Of course, there are some employees who don't have email but they can save paper on the rest of us!!!!
