New to Board and Question!

New to Board and Question!

I am recently engaged and I wanted to say hi to everyone! I am very excited for my wedding (in just about a year from now)!

We booked a RH (sorry, haven't really filled in my profile yet) which takes care of the ceremony, food, and reception/cocktail hour.

What should be my next priority? The dress? When should I start to worry about florists and DJs?

Congratulations!!! Welcome! You can start with whatever you feel is important. We booked our df first and now we are working on the photographer. So it is a matter of what you feel is of importance.

Welcome. I would personally look for photographer next. The good ones get taken for your date quick.

hello and congratulations!! where did you book?? i agree with the other girls about the dj and photog... but i would also start looking for a dress. they can take as long as 6 months just to get in!

Welcome and congrats! For me, photography was the next important thing following the RH - I knew who I wanted so I booked them immediately. It depends on what's important to you though - if there's ONE particular vendor you really want, try to get them first and then deal with planning other stuff that you're not totally sure of later. Congrats and welcome to the Insanity!!!!!

Go with whatever you feel is most important. Go to the book store and get yourself a bride's planner and read through it. See which of those things you want to start with first. Good luck!

You need the photographer and DJ/band before flowers and dress because these vendors book other events like sweet 16s, bar/bat mitzvahs, etc... These also have one slot for your day and time whereas flowers can have multiple events for the day and time.

i would go next with what is most important to you. to me it was getting a really amazing photographer, so thats the 2nd thing i booked. but definitly book what is most important first

Just ordered the Save The Dates

Now working on the limo....

Next Dress, Makeup Trial and Hair.

I have done a bunch of little things... i ordered our placecard picture frame holders a few days ago bc i got a great deal on them. We also ordered half of the groomsmen gifts bc again we got a great deal. And i contiune to look EVERDAY (bc i have a problem) for all the other little things.
