Hi Everybody, I heard about this website through my new sister-n-law. I am not currently engaged but know that I will be asked in the near future. I am curious to know about everything. I have been saving articles and pictures since I was born, lol, but now because it will be me wearing the white dress one day I am nervous about the planning process. We are trying to save, save and save, but it never seems enough with everything I have heard. We are on a fixed budget but still want it to be beautiful. Reception hall ideas? Etc. ??? Thanks, Tjay

well - congratulations soon! i know how you're feelling - we planned on getting engaged about 6 months before it actually happened so i did a lot of planning in advance. and believe me - it helped a lot. the best advice i think i can give you is to look around a lot before making any decisions, save save save, and make a budget and try to stick with it!!! you can always ask the advice of the ladies on the boards if you have any questions too!!!

Welcome TJay! No matter what kind of advice you need, the girls here will help you!! You cna also do Seraches by keyword in case you are wondering about a specific thing....(vendor, hall, etc)...What month would you like to get married in?? Reception hall prices are cheaper in Nov-March since that is considered off season, so if you have a strict budget, an off season month might be helpful to you!!

Thanks for the welcoming!! We haven't decided...Both of us are aware of the $$ difference but he just wants to save. Me on the otherhand wants to get down to business. I would love to get married when it is alittle cooler but than I think of everyone else (snow, rain, etc.) It is so difficult to make a solid decision.

My first move would think how big a wedding you may have. Then you can start hall shopping
