New to LIW!

Hi Ladies

Usually I am on wedding wire but it looks like there is a good possibility we will be getting married in Long Island so I thought I should join the family here as well. I got engaged in April after being together for 6 years and twas magical! At first we were thinking of going the venue way but now we are considering a Hamptons rental. I've literally just starting researching the rental way just a few days ago and feel totally weird since my brain was on venue's for awhile now. I've reached out to a few catering companies to get an estimate on cost to see how cost effective this will be but I've yet to hear back. Do any of you lovely ladies have experience with catering in the H and wouldn't mind sharing what your cost was? I'm thinking roughly 50-60 guests.

Welcome and congrats on your engagement! We were originally planning on doing a catered event on the north fork, and it turns out that it is REALLY expensive! Good luck to you though! Check out Christopher Michael catering :)

I just have to say I'm on some of the other wedding sites sometimes and I'm so happy I found this one. You ladies are so much more supportive and understanding, so many rude and snarky comments out there.
