Very excited about this site! I am newly engaged but already have a date and place for my wedding. I am now however struggling with finding a photographer and DJ and staying within our budget. The second question is I am looking for ideas for a violenist to play at the ceromony outside when I come down the isle and after my FH and I are married. Anyone have any ideas?

a lot of girls go for duet for photo/video from what i hear they give an awesome price but theyre dates go super fast

My biggest advice from day 1 is DO NOT STRESS. You have tons of time to plan and book and figure out what will make you and your FH happiest... so enjoy the ride!!!

for photography were using patken--i love their style it's very unique..
i dont have a dj yet, so im not much help there..sorry

For photo/video I'm using Duet who is very reasonable.
My DJ is Body Rock. They are a bit more on the expensive side. We checked out FM Entertainment adn they are very reasonable- theyre good too (i saw them at a showcase)

Welcome to the site and congrats on your engagement. I'm using Silverfox photography....silverfoxphotography.com. They are able to take pictures in different styles and the owner, John, will work with you. I'm also using After Hours for DJ. Phil is amazing and will also work within your budget

Congrats and Welcome! We are using Patken for photog and Tommy's Tunes for DJ. For our ceremony we booked Sterling Music Ensemble for violin/guitar duo.
I'm using Proline Studios for photo and video. FM me if you'd like more info

Congratulations and welcome to the boards. This is a great resource.
I can tell you who I am using and who I saw and liekd, but definitely plan to see at least 3 of each vendor before you book. Just my opinion. You don't want buyers regret or any doubts.
I am using Frank from FM Entertainment - really liked him. They have very affordable pricing and their packages include options for live musicians - yes a violinist also... we're using a steel drummer for CH and a percussionist for the party.
After Hours and SLE Productions are also really good, work the crowd and customize pricing.
Photo/Video Nick G for Engagement Shoot. www.nickgphotos.com He's great...easy to work with, very nice and extremely budget friendly
True Love - for wedding day. www.truelovewedding.com Love their work, similar to Duet
Duet is also amazing, weren't available for my date.

I am using Dan Wagner for photo. He is just wonderful to work with and has such a great eye, hes been in the business since he was a teenager basically. He wasnt the cheapest but not the most expensive by a long shot. I am definately on a budget and he worked with us. He is a vendor on here.
I am using High Energy Entertainment for DJ and they are very reasonable!
Your best bet it to do individual searches on here for each type of vendor, you will have loads and loads of information and reviews!
