New to the board - Possible East Wind Bride

hi girls... my friends told me about this site and how they found it so helpful in planning a wedding.
I guess i should start out by introducing myself... my name is Kim and me and my fh Trevor have been together for 4 years. He finally popped the big question and now we are looking for a place to get married.
My FMIL keeps talking about East Wind. She went to a wedding there a while ago and loved it. I really want to check it out.

Has anyone gone to a recent wedding there? Has anyone recently gotten married there?
Any kind of info and pictures would be super helpful.

Congrats and Welcome!!!

I have not been to East wind but I hear that it is beautiful!!! My only advice is if you are set on the day you listed you might want to call the places that you are considering!!

Good Luck!!!

Thank you

I actually do not have a date chosen yet, I just put 10/10 in because we aren't really sure yet.

Re: New to the board - Possible East Wind Bride

My sister got married in the gardens in early June and my cousin did the the big ballroom in the Inn on Memorial Day weekend a year later. Both were great. My sister's wedding was FANTASTIC! The gardens are beautiful and we loved the cocktail hour because you could take picture with the beautiful scenery and still be close enough to the action that you felt like you weren't missing it. The guests were saying it was like something out of a movie. And having the hotel right there was really convenient. The food was great (especially the stuffed shrimp I hear).

For my cousin's wedding the ballroom was nice but they really didn't have enough people to fill it so I would say if you have 125 or fewer, go with gardens. I've never been to the third option (the estate I think?) so I couldn't comment but the staff for the wedding and the hotel itself were great.

Hi!

I have been stalking these boards but never actually posted anything until right now, hahah!
Anyway just want to let you know that I booked East Wind and we are using the Veranda room, which I feel like noone really knows about because they do not show it to you.

It is upstairs on the 2nd floor of the hotel and is beautiful! It is another option for a smaller wedding in addition to the country gardens. We were looking at the gardens but got worried if it rained how we would fit everyone in the cocktail hour room...so we fell upon the veranda and fell in love, the room is completely ivory, even the carpet, which is important to me!

Angela H: I am also getting married in the Veranda room! I choose it for the same reason too- my guests wouldn't fit into the cocktail room at country gardens if it rained. I think the veranda room is beautiful!

East Wind is really nice. It was my 2nd choice. I went to the showcase 2 weeks ago and the food was excellent. I dont think you could go wrong booking there!

East Wind gave us great prices and the staff was soo nice to us. Fh was ready to book on the spot. I didn't like the rooms personally because the Estate was too flowery and country for me and the inn had these fake mirror windows, no real windows, and I just didn't like it. I am a rare person though, most people love East Wind. Look at Giorgios also if your going too book out east. We loved that placed but decided to book out west.
