New to this Site

Hello All!!

My name is Elizabeth and I am new to Long Island Weddings. I have heard so much about this site and I am so excited to get to know all of you! I am planning a wedding in the fall of 2010 not sure of date yet. My fiancee travels a lot so I'm pretty much solo with this wedding stuff. I don't have a budget yet but I'm looking for a catering hall for 200 people with a huge dance floor..we love to party lol
Any suggestions?

Check out the North Ritz Club - dance floor is HUGE and the room will fit 200 very comfortably.

Congratulations and Welcome!
There are sooo many venues out there. Try narrowing down what location you prefer and then look at them online to get a feel of their decor and atmosphere. This will help you narrow it down even further before making appointments.

I am getting married at Chateau Briand which is beautiful! They have many rooms to accommodate the number of guests you will be having.

check out Westbury Manor (im partial to that one... )

and ive been to JT, they have a huge dance floor in the room i was in.

I am looking for catering halls in nassau county...or maybe suffolk county...whats important to us is to be the only bride and groom in the place...but I don't know which ones do that....

The North Ritz Club is in Syosset and only hosts one party at a time!

You could also look into the Royalton in Roslyn.

I agree. NRC is a one-wedding-at-a-time place, and the dance floor is massive. We are expecting around 220 at our wedding and I'm pretty sure it's going to still be very comfortable.

Welcome and Congrats.....How about Floral Terrace. That is where I am booked and I have already had a food tasting and its delicious. The prices are great and you WILL be the only bride since they only do one wedding at a time!!! HTH and congrats again!

Welcome and congrats on your engagement . The Inn at New Hyde park hold a lot of people and had a large dance floor. Not sure how far you want to go out but East winds has a large room.

Congratulations on your engagement & good luck with your planning!

We loved our RH -- the Milleridge Cottage. They only have 1 wedding at a time (you have the whole place to yourself) and the entire place IS the dance floor! So you can have them set up the tables so the dance floor is gigantic if you want lol.

The room can host over 350, but we had it with only 105, and it still felt perfect.

Oh, and the food there is FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best food EVER!!! So if anyone is a foodie in your family, they will not be disappointed!

We're getting married at the Surf Club in New Rochelle ... it's not long island but it's absolutely amazing, on the water. I fell in love as soon as I walked in. They can accomodate 200-400.
