Re: New Years Eve...

I was having this conversation all weekend with my friends----I HATE new years eve--you always think you have to do something but I hate wasting a ton of money on an expensive dinner--we are probably going to party hop between my brother & SIL's house and my friends houses.

Re: New Years Eve...

We are staying at home! I never 'got' NYE. I don't know why there's such a big fuss and why everyone feels the need to go out and party/drink to excess. I actually get anxiety attacks around midnight and on more then one occasion left where ever I was at 11.30 so I wouldn't have to be around at the strike of midnight. Thank God DH feels its overrated too and prefers to stay home:)

Alina ~ the party at the intrepid sounds like it will be fun!

Re: New Years Eve...

DH doesn't drink and now that I'm pg, neither do I, so we usually like quiet nights at home. It's the anniversary of our engagement this year, I can't believe we were engaged, married and became pregnant all in one year!!
I think we might go to a friend's party since this will be our last NYE without kids. I'll probably be asleep by 10:00am anyway!

Re: New Years Eve...

I prefer to stay home too. This year FH and I invited a few people over for a small party. Nothing too crazy. And this way I get to stay home! I always prefer to have people over rather than going out somewhere.

I would like to stay home too but I have to work. I am the promotions manager at Strike (in new hyde park) and since its our first big event I have to make sure things go smoothly. It should be fun though, ill make the best of it.

We are probably just going to go out for a nice dinner and spend the rest of the night at home with few friends.

Re: New Years Eve...

we are having a family get together at our house. We will order chinese food and have some champagne at midnight...we usually end up playing games all night! It will be fun and the best part we do not have to get dressed up. I told everyone to come in very comfortable clothes!! wear your PJ's if you like!
