New Year's Resolutions - starting early!!

Original post by snwb08

I'm not a big fan of New Year's resolutions because I don't necessarily think it should take a new year to get me to do something BUT I was thinking this morning that I need some serious motivation. So here are some of my resolutions that i want to start NOW

1. go to the gym at least 4x a week, in the a.m. (ACK)
2. join WW on Saturday or Sunday to help get rid of those last 10 lbs
3. Start studying for finals
4. Get OFF LIW when i'm at work (sad one, but i have to at least try to come on only during lunch)
5. Have a really nice date night - just me and FH - at least 1x a month
6. Cook dinner at LEAST 2x a week PLUS a weekend day
7. Start bringing in my own lunch again!!
8. Start a savings account when I get my bonus to help out my parents so my dad doesn't have to work until he's 80

Okay, that's just a few of mine. You guys have any?? Post them! Help keep me motivated pleaaase - it's almost 2008 and I want to start some changes now!

[um, so i'm going to sign off until lunchtime, in keeping with motivational item #4]

yeah totally. i was thinking of going saturday or sunday morning - i think there are 10 a.m. or 11:30 meetings. though i guess you don't have to go to the meeting; I could just go for a weigh in.

if you decide to go there on the weekends, let me know! I go to the NYSC on the corner as well

I wanna be ripped i am not kidding though hahahaha...i just told FH that we should buy boxing equipment and do all this together. It makes it easier for him to work out more when he has somebody to work out with and i think it will push me to do it for a longer time if i have someone to work out with. So hopefully we'll do this lol

paying off more debt

take initiative to to get info from the small business bureau and try to get the first steps done for fh and i to have an extra income

me too; i started working with a trainer but we're sporadic and i like him but not sure he takes me serious. this morning i told him i'm paying him and he needs to write up a workout schedule for me so i start seeing results

ugh if youre paying him and isn't taking you seriously then yeah go to somebody else or something, that is not right

yeah i know. i do like him but i already switched once from this girl who didn't show up the first two times so they are retarded at that gym... i just wish they'd be serious about US instead of us having to deal with their schedules... whatever..

do you go in the city to the gym? a friend of mine used a trainer in the city and he was so great with her, he would be the one on top of her making sure she comes alot and really giving her a workout

no, i used to go to crunch but now i go to the NYSC on queens blvd... it's literally 2 blocks from me and so easy for me to do in the morning. when i lived in the city crunch was great but since i moved... i need it to be convenient.

he is young and silly. we have fun, but i told him seriously once that i wasn't happy or seeing results and he seems to have checked in his silliness a LITTLE (a very little)
