I went to a wedding there & the food was amazing! But it's Abigail Kirsch so the 'amazing food' was probably not cheap. The one thing I didn't like was that the main ballroom had this plant theme everywhere! Obviously, its the NYBG but it's not just live plants - the wall paper is plants & the room looked like a jungle - but thats JMO.
I posted a pic of the room we were in - maybe they have other rooms?
I am getting married at the Snuff Mill at the Gardens in a little over a week. It is a beautiful site and the food looks amazing. I also think that they have taken excellent care of us so far. I will let you know after the 28th. Do you have some specific questions I might be able to help you with?
THANKS FOR THE HELP! WHAT ARE THE PRICE RANGES, IS IT ABSURDLEY PRICEY, ARE THERE DIFFERENT ROOMS TO USE FOR A WEDDING RECEPTION? IT IS THE SECOND PLACE I AM GOING TO SEE TONITE HOPEFULLY, I HAVE TO CALL THEM BACK TO CONFIRM, HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DID YOU BOOK IT?

Where I am getting married is $150 pp for a Friday night. Which includes
Open Bar/Champange for toasts 7 butlered hor'devors 2 stations
Appetizer salad entree ( choice of 2 plus a silent vegetarian option) dessert wedding cake
tax and gratuity.
I am getting married at a location that is for smaller weddings. The room holds 120p. I am not sure what the conservatory offers. Hope this helps!!!
ETA: We booked them in December of 2002 for our wedding next week.

I'm not sure what your budget is, but when I went to see Tappen Hill it was $235( that includes tax) for a Saturday night in October. I was told that the Botanical Gardens runs higher than that.
