New York Cares Secret Santa

Hi Everyone,

Can you believe it's November already, that means Christmas is just around the corner. For the last few years I have been answering children's Dear Santa letters. I have found it very rewarding to try and fulfill kids dreams about Christmas. Usually the kids do not ask for too much and I get what I can afford. The website is attached if anyone is interested. Please do not ask for a letter unless you are willing to answer the request the best you can. I wouldn't want a child to receive nothing Christmas morning, You actually get a hand written letter. Last year I received on from a little boy who drew pictures too. If you are interested and have any questions, e-mail me.

I've done this a few years, and it truly is a rewarding experience to give a child in need a very special gift from 'Santa'

Some of the letters are just heartbreaking, it will make you wish you had all the money in the world to give all these children a happy holiday season

Thanks everyone for the responses. After the first letter I usually end up signing up for more. Last year I got my mom and sister to do it.

Thanks everyone for all the responses. I hope you find it as rewarding as I do. There are going to be a lot of excited children Christmas morning. Thanks again for putting a smile on a child's face.

I just wanted to let you know that the agency at which I do my externship is one of the agencies involved in this program. The children we work with all have some form of developmental disability or medical illness, and come from families with very little income. Many of them are in foster care. All of your gifts will make these children so happy! It's a wonderful program.
