Our wedding was 12/15 and we did winter in NY. We named our tables after famous streets in NYC. Made the table names to look like ole time street signs (blue/white) and did the placecards to match. There really is a lot you can do with a NY theme. It may be worth checking our and considering. I am sure you will get some great ideas from the ladies on here.

LOL! I think it's great he wants to be involved. Is this is a theme for your e-party or wedding? Since you want to do all of this winter stuff, why don't you call it: Winter in New York?
That was my HS Senior Banquet's theme and it was so pretty!

That sounds awesome. I like the street names for the tables..that's really cute. As your favor you can give something away from your favorite bakery in NYC with a note & the address or something.

I think its a great idea You can name tables after landmarks in the city, such as Empire Stae Building, Central Park, etc.

I went to a wedding w/ a new york theme... they named all the tables after restaurants in NY - they had the matches and business cards from each restaurant on the tables...I think we were at Coppolas (sp?).
edited to say: just remembered they also had a card which listed each persons name who was to be on that table and on the backside of the card said something about the restaurant... I think it was the Zagats review

We are naming our tables after areas in the city...like Chelsea, Gramercy Park, etc.. We live in Queens, and have lived in Manhattan, & brooklyn and met in the city so we thought it would be nice. All my college friends will be at the Chelsea table bc that's where our college was (FIT), me and FH will be at Astoria..bc we live there now!
