New York OOT Boxes

I need some help with what to put in my OOT boxes that screams New York. Any ideas?

One of the recent brides had some good ideas:
LI Wine
Black and Whites
Entenmanns
North Fork Potato Chips

I am going to to LI Wine and black and whites, I think.

Re: New York OOT Boxes

if you have extra time on your hands you could create a playbill that has all your wedding festivities inside

maybe have taxi yellow OOT bags or if you use a box make it look like a taxi

don't know if they sell small bags, but there's NY Bagel company bagel chips that are yummmy- if not, maybe a different brand of bagel chips?

century 21 sells a bunch of cheap touristy do-dads - maybe check them out?

a fresh red apple (big apple)?

go to a novelty candy store and see if they sell gum in the shape of a hot dog or a pretzel?

I know michaels sells stickers by 'joliee ' that are of NYC - pretzel, statue of liberty, etc

or what if you took a pic of you and FH in front of the skyline and printed onto labels and stuck that on the bag? you get a great view of skyline from Hoboken and Brooklyn

Great ideas ladies. I'm jealous that the brain is working for you girls. I'm in idle mode, stress has begun to sink in.

karabara - such great ideas! I am going to have to use those!! Would a NY theme OOT basket be cheesy if the wedding were in NJ like mine? We have people flying in from Europe so for them NJ and NYC are so close anyway!

I don't think so. I live in Jersey City and I consider that to be part of NYC. Hey, we have the NY Giants and Jets at the Meadowlands

i don't think so either. it would be hard to do a NJ theme....i just think of garden state, liberty science center, ikea, and the jersey turnpike!! i'm not a huge sports person so the meadowlands doesn't come to mind, but that's just me

oh, also i think of atlantic city (peppermint taffy!), jersey shore, and thomas sweet (is that the name of that ice cream/chocolate shop near new brunswick?)
