Newbie

Hello Everyone,

I have been on her looking for a while and have gotten greats ideas so far. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I am also having my first dilemma trying to choose a hall so I thought Id post for some help.

I have narrowed it down to two and I will list my pro/cons for each. Any help from anyone who has been to a wedding at either place would be great!

1. Giorgio's- Good reviews all around/food,service,pictures..... Major con is that it is so far out east. My family is mostly from western Nassau so I think it will be a bit of a trek.

2. Marina Del Ray- Great Reviews also, not to many but all good. Got a good deal also because family knows them. Con is that there can be three weddings at a time.

Please Help!!!!!

Definately Giorgio's. I've been to two weddings there. Awesome Place! And Welcome Aboard

I'm partial to Marina del Rey. That was my number 2 choice next to Russo's. We went to visit after the renovations and it looks soooo beautiful. Nothing beats the view at Marina del Rey. My parents got married there over 25 years ago so for a place to stay in business all that time means they have to be doing something right. I've never been to Giorgio's so I can't help u with that Just go with whatever feels right and fits best with your budget. Good Luck and Welcome to the boards

I might be a little biased, but I would have to reccommend Giorgio's...fabulous food, wonderful service and a beautiful location!!!

Congratulations on your Engagement and welcome to the boards..

I am biased with Giorgio's.. I shopped around and nothing could compare to Giorgio's. I had relatives and family friends come from Brooklyn, New Jersey and Connecticut for my wedding. If they love you they will come. Don't forget that Giorgio's deals with 2 hotels that are just 5 minutes away. You have heard about how great the food is, don't know if you know with them you have 4 great locations for pictures: the beach, golf course, their gardens and of course the hall.

What up Newbie?? Marina Del Ray or Georgeios? what are you making your decission on? Just pick a place and move on... LOL what happend to Harbor club? that is a no? Did you look at the Watermill? Or the Swan club? Well Good luck.............

One of my sister's had her wedding at Giorgio's, and the hall and food was awesome. They are having a bridal expo the 26th of feb on a sunday. Call for reservations, it cost $15.00. I am going with my mom and my sister who had her wedding there.

i loved Giorgios when i was there for a wedding!! Why don't you look into renting a bus to bring some people back and forth since they live in nassau? That's something to check out. I know a friend of mine did that.
