Newbie Bride Reception venue help? 2015

Hi everyone! My name is Lynn - I'm new to LI weddings but have been a reader for a while! I recently became engaged and was looking for a few venue suggestions or advice for a Saturday night May or Sept/Oct 2015 wedding

So far we will have about 150 people invited

I've inquired to Lands End, however they require a minimum guest guarantee of 185 people

Does anyone know of any guest minimums or been to any weddings at the places below?

Fox Hollow
Bellport Country Club
Old Field House
Bourne Mansion

Any help would be SO appreciated!!

Old Field Club is small. I went to a wedding there that had about 125 and it felt cramped. I wouldn't recommend it for 150 people.

Okay, that's good to know - Thanks! We have quite a few people invited from out of town so it may end up being 125 by the time that responses come back- but still, definitely don't want to be cramped and need room to dance!

When I was looking at fox hollow, the minimum for the garden terrace was 175, winter garden 125, and Somerely 150. But I've heard conflicting things from other girls. Definitely worth a visit :) congrats and welcome!

When I met with lands end the minimum for oct was 175. My guarantee in the somerley is 175 as well

Bourne mansion min for a Saturday night was 175 I think if I'm remembering correctly.
Bellport CC was around 150 but they seemed flexible and flowerfield was about 175-185.

I got married at the Bellport Country Club in 2012 and had 146 guests and could have easily fit more people comfortably . I def recommend checking them out!

Thanks everyone this is really helpful! I never would have thought 150 people for a wedding was small!!!

I have an appt to check out Bellport CC next weekend. They did say they were flexible!

Have some inquiries out to Bourne, and Lands End advised min guarantee of 185 for September Sat night - doesn't seem either of these are flexible! Still have some calls to make. :)

I'm booked with Bellport and the minimum for a Friday night in May is 150, but they seem to be willing to work with you. If you're meeting with Robert, he is so nice! You can customize the menu to what you want (you get so much food!), and I thought I got a lot more included than other places I checked out.

Let me know how it goes! I have quotes for May 2015 Friday night.

Fox Hollow gave us a minimum of 110 on a Friday night in October and Land's End quoted us a minimum of 125 for a Friday or a Saturday in Sept/Oct.

A friend of mine is doing Westbury manor and she's having around 150. I would check there-- I've heard it's beautiful and affordable, but we didn't look because they're getting married just before us.

We have Fox Hollow's Winter Garden room with a minimum of 110 for a Saturday in Nov. Somerley was 150 for the same time of year and day.
