Newbie has a question...

So, there are a few things I'd like to know...hopefully someone can help me out :)

I would like to know how soon in advanced a DJ, Florist, Limo and Church should be reserved/rented......we just booked for July 12, 2008 and are thinking we should go to the Church this weekend....am I thinking logically? Thanks :)

You should definitely book the Church as soon as you can. After that I would say photographer/video, then DJ, and then Florist and Limo. Its a good choice to pick the florist out in July because that way you can typically see what types of flowers are around at that time and etc. Did you get your dress yet?

Most churches have the mentality that they should be booked first and then the RH, so definitely book the church right away. Everything else can be booked tomorrow if you want, there really is no right or wrong amount of time

i agree. when you go to the church, i wouldnt say that you already booked the RH. they want to be the first one you go to. after that, if there is a dj of photographer/videographer you HAVE TO HAVE i would book them next. djs book up really fast. floers should be done a year before so you can see your best options for that time of year. limos you can do whenever. unless you want a specific car like a rolls royce or something rare

YES!!! you need to go to the church right away and book to make sure they have your date available...There have been people who booked RH's and then found out their church wasn't available. Hopefully it will be. As you can see many 08'ers including many that are not on the site have already booked alot of their vendors if not all of them. Also for dj I would check with that soon too, if you ask most of the girls on here they already booked their dj's. If you have your heart set on a particular dj then i would inquire very soon, but if you are open to this then its not something you need to really hurry up about.

Oh yeah i agree with the girls, after you book the church, I would really look into photographers next

Yes ook the church asap!!! Then stsrt with the DJ/Band and photgrapher. Florist aren't tha timportant on the list. But Dj's and Photgrphers book up quickly.

That's what I figured...thanks for all your help. We are going to the church this weekend, that's for sure. How do I find out if I have a date twin on here???

You're right, get the RH and Church out of the way first so at least you'll feel relieved you have a PLACE to get married lol.... then work from there....

def. do the church, cause they are picky, then think about what is important to you.

If music is then that's next and go in that order

HEY!!! ur my date twin, finally i found someone!!! i say it is never to early to start. especially when ur getting married in the summer. so start booking now!!! definately the church and RH first and then just take it one weekend at a time. i got engaged in oct and had RH, florist, church, photo/video and band booked by Nov. the sooner the better!

it just means that you brought this thread back up to the first page...whenever you post in a thread it goes to the top of the page, so if its like PAGES back you bring it up for someone to see
