Hi ladies! I am in need of some help and I know I have come to the right place.
My best friend is getting married about a month ahead of me. Her sister and I are planning her bachelorette party and we are looking for nice restaurants on the island that are moderately priced and that have an atmosphere conducive to 'adult' conversation (it's a bachelorette party--wink wink) and to a more secluded room or space. Any ideas? We plan on heading to a country bar in Commack to go dancing later in the evening, but wanted to start off the evening with dinner. BTW: Bride-to-be (my best friend) is lactose intolerant...so that might also have an effect on things!!! Thanks everyone!

There is a place in Melville called FOUR. They have great food (from what I've heard) and the atmosphere is very NYCish

HHMMMMM.... I guess it all depends on what type of food you like - Lactose intolerant...you can still go anywhere - Your bride to be can simply choose not cheese/cream based sauces for her entree. Give us an idea of food you want.

well, she likes italian...and usually goes for non cream based sauces...like a garlic and oil thing. We both love sushi as well, but unless the sushi place has something for everyone, it may make some people feel left out.

I think Honu is very pricey and it's always very loud there. After the renovation they changed their name from Blue Honu to just Honu.

ok i am not 100% sure about papa joes bc dont know it only have heard about it on here and ppl use it as their RD location. So not sure if its the type of atmosphere for a bachelorette party. I was going to also suggest Four, which a few other ladies already have

hmmm...interesting. Yeah, it could be a good place for a rehearsal dinner. A friend's baby shower was there. We are trying to keep things low-key for the bachelorette party and then whoop it up after dinner. hmmm...may just have to convince FH to take me to try four first!!!

if you want a little more low key you can still do a different type of restaurant. Maybe Houston's, its real good and nice and a bit more low key i guess.
right above i posted the site for Four
