I was wondering about when to register. I am getting married in October and the shower is the end of August (i know it is supposed to be a surprise , but i live and teach outside of DC so there is no way) And how do you even know how much stuff to register for? We are having like 125ish people but that includes kids also. Any advice would be fabulous.

Register whenever you can.... I got engaged over a year ago, and registered within the first few months!

I wouldn't worry about how many items you have - it depends on how much each piece costs, too. We have about 250 items between Macy's and Fortunoffs, and at least 2/3 of them are under $50 each! Which means multiple gifts Seriously, though, the kitchen utensils and towels alone were 1/2 the list b/c FH had to have all the utensils match.

You can register anytime. I registered about a month after getting engaged. Register for whatever you want for your home. If you register at fortunoff or Bed Bath & Beyond they give you a list of things that you should register for. It will help guide you. Good Luck!!
