So its christmas time almost and I just can't stop thinking about how many newly engaged people will join this site!! has anyone thought of this lately? Thats why i feel a pressure to book as many things as possible!

I know, the thought just occured to me too! We're going to start looking at photogs and dj's next week since FH is going to be off the whole week and I'm well, still unemployed

I've been thinking about that too because i got engaged Christmas Eve last year. I started the CLM and Velvet threads cuz i figured get those of us up now before a slew join!

I have off next week too!!! had to take vacation time!! and so does fh!!!!!!Im thinking of doing the same thing!!

I'm so feelig what your saying esp. since we have chosen the most popular date of the 2008 year, in fact while we were debating halls one of them was booked for our date & time
I found comfort in knowing most of our vendors weren't traditionally wedding vendors so they would still be available, they approached us... the more I read on this site, the more I see how much they're overcharging us so I am going to look i to other vendors, hope evryone isn't already booked

we don't even have a RH yet!! and i wanted it done by christmas. but i guess that's why i have been livid with the FI b/c he likes to get up and do the things HE thinks is important first (making shelves for our room and playin video games) as i harp on him about xmas and wedding stuff...
i've been in tears every night b/c i'm so stressed....
hopefully today though we'll find our hall... one more to go at 4pm today, then its decision time.

I have booked the RH, Church, Band, Phot/video so far. After the new year in the spring will look for florist and limos. But we have pretty much everything set so far. I know alot of the photographers were booking up. So if you like osmeone book them right away don't wait!!! And you will get the good prices!!!

I cannot tell you how many times FH made me so mad!! He tells me that its my wedding and I should make the decisions. Well its just not that easy!

Yeah...I definately feel the pressure but I don't want to rush it either jsut to 'get ahead in line'...ya know what I mean. Its a big decision for alot of this stuff so it really should be well thought out. I WAS going to try and get my photog booked b4 the end of the yr (they offer a discount) but I definately want to chew on the decision a while...THEYRE REALLY EXPENSIVE!!!!

just think all the newbies will have to enjoy their recent engagement and then start rh hunting...so u still have some time for the other stuff!
i wanted to do photog appts before the yr was over but that didnt happen...the holidays just crept up! i want fh to go with me...so we can only go on the weekends....boooo

I booked RH and then found another and booked...one I only lose $100. So I held it until I found one that I loved (like a safety net)
I keep hearing that I should book because of all of the new engagements coming during the holidays and I want really good photog and dj/band
