hey i actually just got engaged last week in north carolina... im only 21 years old and not aware with all that has to be done for a wedding. i mean my sister was on this site when she got married in 2009 but i feel like it will help to be on here and talk to others that are getting married in 2012 and just to get the knowledge of what has to be done when because im clueless as of right now. i mean its only been a week i know but how long before i really start planning everything????? we havent set a date or place yet because we wanted to wait and see how things go for at least the first two month with money stuff but im pretty sure it will be june of 2012

First, please put you name on the 2012 Bride List.
Second, It's never to early to start planning.
I got engaged September 2009, not getting married until Novemeber 2012, but I already have everything booked except for DJ & Limos [which we are working on since we know who we are booking, just a matter of signing the contract and having the down payment]
But It's really never too early. And the first most important things to book are the church [if you plan to marry in one] and the hall!
Everything else comes after!
We're all here for any questions you have as well!

My name is Jeanne Marie. FH and I became engaged January 2010 and we are planning our January 2012 Wedding!!! Christina is 100% right when she said to book your Church and Hall first!! Those 2 should be your top Priority.

It's never too early to plan! No matter what *insert weird ugly face ppl make when you tell them you're getting married in 2012 but booking things now here*
We've got the hall booked (Watermill) and I will be booking the DJ within the month I believe ( BodyRock) I've got my dress picked out, bridesmaids dresses, wedding bands, colors, and a bunch of other things :)
Slow and steady wins the race (and doesn't turn into a Bridezilla).
