Newly Engaged and Question Already

Hi Ladies! This is my first official post here. I look forward to chatting with you all!!

FI and I got engaged a little over a week ago. We are planning on having a small wedding of about 50 people on the beach of Coronado Island. I live OOS now and I have a huge family that lives on LI still. I'm not going to be able to invite most of them, but I still want to let them know that we're engaged. Do I send out an announcement? How does this work? Thanks!

i think sending out an announcement would be fine. my mom did that when her and my dad got married for the people they weren't inviting, and she had me do that for a few relatives that we knew wouldn't be able to come for multiple reasons.

first of all: CONGRATULATIONS!

it would be nice to send out an announcement to keep them in the loop. i would suggest using a photo card to send out so that your family/friends could see your FH!
