Newly Engaged - Looking for Outdoor Venue

Hi girls,

I was just recently engaged a little over a week ago and am trying to get a head start on planning! My ideal wedding would be to have an outside ceremony in the fall... September or early October. I have a few places in mind but would love some suggestions on places. We are looking to have 100-120 guests.

Also, I started making appointments to see the venues... What questions should I ask? What's typically included?

I am brand new to this and need some help!

WELCOME!!!

1st (if it's important to you) how many events a day and at a time?
2nd Available Dates
3rd Do they charge for Vendors (Typically in house are free and others 1/2)... this could add up.
4th Dessert... it's important to me and most do just the basic.
5th When can I come in???

All the venues I visited could accomodate an outdoor ceremony --

Westbury Manor
Swan Club
Venetian Yacht Club
Chateau La Mer

Congrats!

Not sure what part of LI you are looking for, but Larkfield Manor in E. Northport can accomodate an outdoor ceremony. The staff there is unbelievable!

This!! CrestHollow has an outdoor ceremony as well. What about the beach?? Crescent Beach club or I think Lands End. There are so many you just have to do some research.

Congrats on your engagement!!!

Thanks all! I have done some research, and plan to look at the Riviera, Westbury Manor, and Crescent Beach Club. I was also looking at Carlyle on the Green, but don't think I can guarantee enough guests for them. I am trying to stay farther west on LI because that's where most of our friends and families live.

I just hope there are still dates available for when I am looking!

I plan on having an outdoor ceremony at Thatched Cottage!

Some good questions to ask are:
1) Does the price they quoted you include all fees/gratuities/taxes?
2) What's the indoor ceremony space like(in case of bad weather)
3) If the RH has more than one wedding at a time, what areas of the RH will you have access to during your wedding?
4) Do you have to use house vendors or can you use anyone you want?
5) What is their peak season? Most places include October in the peak season, but some dont!

HTH!
