I have been a member for about 30 seconds and already feel like 'Whew, a little guidance.'
We just booked the Riviera in Massapequa, my dream location! Having the ceremony there as well.
I figured now that we have our date, next is photographer. I love love love Joe Sanfillipo but looking for other reccomendations. We are having a 'vintage-y' wedding, so I am looking for shots to be less like glossy magazine ads than a lot of the galleries I've seen on many of the sites. Also looking to spend around $3000 for at LEAST 6 hours, a decent amount of prints, and 2 albums. What is the deal with all these photographers giving you nothing but digital prints? Have many people found this to be the case?

Congratulations & good luck. The brides on this site are VERY helpful.
Check out Benchwerk photography. They are sweet people and offer matte vs glossy. I'm sure all photographers can offer that. I met with Gina, Benchwerk, and S I L V E R F*O*X & all were great which made the decision evern harder! LOL

Benchwerk is EXACTLY the type of photography I love, but they are booked through October 2012
Has anyone heard anything about George Street? Seems too reasonable to be without a catch...

did you check out thomas paul ... not sure if hes the type of pic your looking for .. but hes in your price range and you get a ton of stuff incl print outs =) // fm me if you have questions ..

At first I wasn't totally into Gina, but everyone on here LOVES her so much! I had to do some more research, and it turns out she's very much what we are looking for! Waiting for a quote now - thanks guys!
