congrats and welcome!! Chateau La Mer is on the water and has great views, also the Venetian Yacht Club. If you were looking for more of a garden atmosphere, the Westbury Manor and Watermill are amazing too.

Crescent Beach is beautiful. Are you planning on having your ceremony at the RH too? That may help you narrow things down.

Welcome and congratulations on your recent engagement!!
In addition to whats already been mentioned a number of the Lessings locations are really beautiful and very reasonably priced. We had our e-party the West Sayville CC and it was fantastic!
As far as september wedding.. what do you guys think or reception outside?

Congrats!!!!!!!!! We have been pretty lucky with weather the past 2 years... it has been warm into Nov... so I def wouldn't say having an outdoor ceremony is out... at Eastwind we were able to decide THAT morning if we wanted to be in or out. I wanted an indoor wedding regardless, but it was nice to have that option!!!

You can definitely have an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour in September. All places mentioned are stunning. Also check out Thatched Cottage and Swan Club. The Crecent Beach Club is right on the beach, and is the priciest of all mentioned.

Re: Newly Engaged...Help!
hello, welcome & congrats! u could check out the vendor board under 'reception venues' and also, the magazine 'Locations sites & services' is GREAT. It has every reception venue in new york, along with with photos, what they offer & an approx. price range. It definetly helped me narrow down my search...good luck!

Re: Newly Engaged...Help!
You can probably have an outdoor ceremony in September. It has been really warm the past few years through October. My hubby's cousin got married outside at the Watermill in mid-September and it was actually on the hot side, but a beautiful day. We picked the Swan Club for their beautiful garden and water views. I have pictures in my album. They have a really nice area for an outdoor ceremony that they can cover with a canopy for inclement weather. My ceremony was in November so I used their indoor area that has big windows so it was like we were outside.
Congrats on your engagement and good luck with the rest of your planning!
