Would it be silly to let FH wear a hat during the reception? He is NEVER seen without a fitted hat and feels naked without one. I want to get him a black and white yankee hat to match his tux but would it look stupid?
If you think its okay, do you think theres any point in the reception where he should NOT wear the hat? Other than first dance of course.

I don't think it's stupid. It's his personal style and I think when couples add personal elements like that, it's really cute!

no we're not getting married in a church...and hes def. not wearing it for the ceremony. i meant just the reception.

I think it's totally fine. But just like you said, not during the first dance, also not during his dance with FMIL (if you're having that) and maybe not while you dance w/your dad (just out of respect). Oh, and maybe during the cake cutting for the picture's sake, unless you don't care either way. Other than that go crazy.

i like that idea, i think its cute......what kind of hair does he have? will it get messed up once he puts on his hat? i'd have him take it off for all the serious parts of the evening - the the toast, cutting cake, dances, but for the rest of the reception he should def wear it! especially if he is known for wearing a hat! and it def will be cute if he has it on in some of your pics! FH wants to wear his Reebok classics during the reception - He always has a new pair or white reeboks LOL....

If that's how he feels comfortable then I say you should let him do it. My DH has a thing for zebra print so he wore a zebra print vest and tie for the reception. Everyone thought it was totally in his personality to do something like that and he had fun.
