News Flash!!!

So, guess what? England does NOT sell licorice! I was craving some nice cherry shoelaces and a break from my computer screen so I went out on licorice hunt. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch! Just some little licorice bits (no not delicious Nibs) that are layers of licorice paired with layers of pink stuff and possibly a jelly-like substance in some strange tetrahedral (heather! ) like shapes.

Roast Chicken flavored potato chips - SURE!
Cherry Licorice shoelances - not a chance...

God, prawn cocktail is my absolute favorite. Oh, and pickled onion. I miss them

What about Bassett's Licorice allsorts? Or is that what you mean by stuffed with pink stuff and a jelly substance?

YES!!! that's them!!! I thought about getting them...I even think I've had them in the states, but I didn't think they would quench my craving!

Well, I guess I'm going to have to add licorice to my shopping list next time I'm home - Costco here I come!!! It's funny how you don't notice you're not able to get something until you have an uncontrollable urge for it!

Prawn!! That's what DH and I were trying to remember the other day. We were saying we should look on EBay to see if we could get Hula-Hoops(which we really liked when we were over there) and couldn't rememeber what the weird, seafood flavor the British seemed to love was! We never tried it, so I shouldn't judge, but it just sounded a little much for us.

Why do the British try to come up with new foods.....will they never learn?
