Next house project?

We are cleaning out our basement now. It's finished but we had all of my husband's junk down their from his apartment. We hope to make it a nice, comfy hang out room and put an office section in the corner.

After basement: we will put new cement outside and all around the house. Projects never end....

our next project should be to finish all the ones we started.

However, I am going to turn our 4th bedroom downstairs into my home office. I refer to it as the dungeon because it in the basement level and has a low ceiling. but we want to use the bedrooms upstairs for a possible nursery in the future (not preggo yet). hubby already has an office set up upstairs, but I want my own

Finish the bedroom and living room.


Just finished the basement and installed new gutters

I am all over the place!
First I am re-painting our bedroom b/c I hate the first color I chose.
Then I am pulling up the carpet in the living room and dirning room and refinishing the hardwood floors underneath, while repainting both rooms and putting up mouldings.

Put the base and shoe molding up/on in the guestroom (we just painted it and had the floors refinished).

Once the wedding is over, it's the master bath and bedroom.

Same with us Jenny! Once the wedding is done, it's time to finish the Master Bathroom! We've got all the plumbing done in there, but it's come to a total halt with all this wedding stuff!

Also, to add a 2 story entrance foyer.

We are in the process of getting quotes to replace all our windows, siding and re-layer the roof!

We are also starting to shop for family room/den furniture and maybe master bedroom furniture.

theres just so much to do & so little money.

our first big project on our new house is to rip out our front yard. driveway, steps, stoop, grass, everything!! our front is so ugly!! can't wait to make it all pretty next spring!

but little projects around the house too- we're refinishing the deck (but it keeps raining!!), finally putting away everything we've been storing in the basement (going to wal-mart to buy storage boxes/shelves/units).

i'd also like to repaint our bedroom & the guest bedroom.

i would love to complete our living room with more furniture & buy new bedroom furniture as well.

our next projects will be:

knock down wall in kitchen/dining room, put new hardwood floor in, buy dining room set

redo bedroom, new paint, new moulding, new carpet (or hardwood), & get new bedroom set!

Redo fireplace, put up a new mantle around it

Put in a deck or patio (still undecided)

But only if we don't move....

Uggh, I forgot the landscaping!!!

Next small projects:

Install shelves and paint the closet in the 2nd guest room so I can store some of the stuff in boxes and get it off the bed and floor.

Paint kitchen and replace ceiling fan, do serious cleaning job on old vinyl floor and apply new 'wax' finish coat, apply touch up paint to scratches on fridge - then consider ordering an island for kitchen.

Large projects: Vacation is in 3 weeks - decided to spend it locally and focus on getting some things done around the house. Scheduled so far - having cesspool inspected and cleaned, may have dining room and living room floors refinished, considering new floor for partially finished basement, along with other finish work for that room (means cleaning up the stuff we've stored down there - translated to mean figure out what to do with the stuff we don't know what to do with) - also thinking about having the 35+ stumps around the property ground down, and may have landscapers come and pull up 18 years of weeds and overgrowth in the far reaches of the property.

First: We put in a new back door and they had to replace part of the wall in our guest room/office. So now we need to re-paint that room.

Second: Then, we have to get our hot tub inspected and repaired.

Well, since we only moved into our house two weeks ago tomorrow, we still have furniture to put together!! And paint the office which is now lavendar (was a baby's room) and does not go well with the rest of the decor.
Hopefully build a deck out back next summer. And maybe a porch the summer after that!!

Finish up the LR/DR, Window treatments, hang art, get that china cabinet built!

Hot Tub is being fixed next week Hopefully

Have to at least get the boxes cleared out of the Guest Room, maybe paint it and maybe get a bed in there by next weekend. - We are having house guests and I would rather not put them in the basement.
