Next problem...Engagement party...Is it to late to have???.

Besides having to arrange my wedding plans, my mom is not great at throwing parties, so I have also needed to search for a venue for my E-Party. We have bben engaged since Dec and FH mother is on my back. First, we had to wait during the summer months due to family reunion, graduations and I have received complaints about holiday weekends. So now my mom has finnally contacted the place I told her to originally, but all they have left is Nov 30, 2003. We are getting married Sept 04, do you think this is too late to have our E-Party?

i think that's fine for the e-party. as far as i know, there are no rules about them....it's up to you. and our's was less than a year before our wedding. i dont think it should be a problem.

honestly i think that's fine. my friend did the same thing with the same amount of time in between. i wish i was having one!

JMO: I would, keep it simple. I think if its too fancy people might think it was a ploy to get more gifts. Also, DO NOT PUT WHERE YOU REGISTERED IN THE INVITES. The purpose of an E-party is to celebrate the Engagement, not gifts. I hope you have a good time, and remember, its just my opinion.

I just had my engagement party and am also getting married September 2004, so I think you shoud be fine with having it in November

perfect time 1 year in advance,
youd have to worry if it is a couple of months before the wedding because that, a shower, and a wedding in a few months may look like your asking for gifts,

we got engaged on new years and wedding is sept '04. We had to do party this sept, becuase we new by then my FH woud be done with coast guard training in VA.
