Next weekend is my shower and.....

I noticed that not too much was coming off the registry. Sooo I checked my macys account and low and behold people are buying duplicates of things -- so, they're buying stuff thats already been bought off my registry, which is why nothing new is coming off. Macys s u c k s!!!! This keeps happening with them. So, I'm sure next weekend I'll be at the mall all day returning stuff

THis happened with my FSIL's Macy's registry too! Her shower is tomorrow, but I was so pissed a couple of weeks ago, and had to call Macy's

oh wow! that really s u c k s! I was going to register at Macys but now i'm not sure b/c I don't want to waste my time returning duplicates.

wow..that really does sux...thats going to be a major waste of time on your part...stupid Macys...they should get their act together

I don't wanna sound harsh or anything, but it's the purchasers responsibility to hand in your registry sheet after purchasing the item, so if they didn't do that, Macy*s has no idea it was off a regisrty. And besides....why are you peeking anyway? I know there are lots of peekers here, but as you can see for yourself, it ruined any surprise you might have had, because you already know some of your gifts. Thats JMO.

yea it kinda *****...i had my shower last week and went to macy's yesterday to exchange a few things that i had duplicates for and it was such a hassel for them....first they said that it wasn't from there place...but i stated they bought it off my registry....

my lenox silver platter was originally 84.00 bucks but it was on sale for 39.99. it was scanning to 49.99 but the lady told me its 39.99.

then i said can't you see who purchased it and for what price so they can credit me the correct amount they paid for it...

well she said they know who purchased it and from which store but have no way of telling me how much they paid for it...

so i complained that what if they spent more on the gift and you are giving me a sale price..

the manager came and ended up giving it to me for the full price and gave my a credit towards a macy's gift card so i can use it to buy something else off my registry which wasn't bought

its just shame i was standing online for like a goof 45 minutes before it was resolved and i thought it would take only 5 minutes.

I peek because we've been having non-stop problems with my Macys registry from the beginning, so I check it regularly to make sure that things look correct (in the beginning Macys was deleting things off the registry. Not things that were purchased....they just deleted things ).
And as far as things being the 'purchasers responsibility' -- these were things that had originally come off the registry a LOOOOONG time ago when we had our e-party. When guests are going to macys to purchase things, the Macys registry is showing that (now...all of a sudden) these things were never purchased, so they are available for purchase. It's Macys fault, not the purchaser.

Macy's is so annoying to deal with! Thankfully I did not have that problem but I hate how they keep bothering me with emails and offers and crap.
