VACATION BOARD - what a brilliant idea!!!

Actually we are thinking of going to Niagra on our next vacation , over the summer. Not sure if it'll be too crowded though

I was there about 10 years ago and really enjoyed it... we stayed at a rather cheap hotel at the time, and it was on the Canadian side..

Yeah i'm no help

I would definetly drive. I like road Trips I love looking out the window at the farms and the country. Im a little nuts. I drove to Florida 2 times and would do it tomorrow. I was wondering how long we would need.

i'm told it can take anywhere from 7 to 9 hours max, depending on traffic, what time you leave, blah, blah, blah. i'll be asleep for half the drive so the scenic parts i do see, i'll take pics of

If we go to Niagra this year at all, we're definitely driving (DH hates to fly)

We're driving to Orlando in a few weeks ... I'm a little nervous but DH is sooo into road trips

Felicia both times we drove to florida (we drove to south florida. Ft. Lauderdal/Miami area) we stopped in Disney. I LOVED IT! Make sure you stop at South of The border, Even though theres nothing there. My brother had some Kick butt way of getting to orlando.

What else is there to do? Besides looking at water?

Brad and I went to Niagara falls for our first vacation together, after we got engaged. We spent a night in Cooperstown on the way up, b/c I had never been to the baseball hall of fame.

I can't even remember where we stayed right now..it might have been a holiday inn..whatever it was, it was nice. We had such a great time! They have a decent casino, which we went to one night. We walked around the town a lot, did some cheesy stuff like Ripley's believe it or not, took a ride on Maid of the Mist, etc...it's a nice trip b/c there's a lot to do to keep yourself entertained, but there's no rush to do any of it..it's relaxing! We went for about 4 nights, I think.

Niagara Falls is nice. We went to the Canadian side. We stayed in a hotel (with my family) about 15 years back. I don't know if its there now or how it is if it is but we did enjoy Niagara Falls and the hotel.

It seams like June is less money then in Sept. Anyone know why? In Sept. some things are sold out also? Is there a better time to go?

I went there all the time when I lived in Rochester for school. It took us about an hour or so to get there. And Rochester is about 6-7 hours from here.

I was there, but just passing through after a wedding upstate, so I can't recommend a hotel. You can ride a boat under the falls, which seems pretty cool. There are also casinos on the Canadian side of the falls. The Canadian side seems to have more in the way of hotels and restaurants.
