Nice place to stay near Leonard's?

Hi,
Is there a nice place to stay near Leonard's? Anywhere in LI that isn't really far? I want to get a honeymoon suite or something nice, but I refuse to pay 500.00 to stay in LI.

The places Leonard's recommended are a bit stuffy and $$$$. My BM told me to try the Garden City Hotel.


I just want a nice room where the hotel will 'dress it up for us'. After all it will be our wedding night.......

Thanks...have you been there before??? I few hotels I have called said that they don't do 'honeymoon suites'. I find that weird!

My wedding is Colombus day weekend and we cannot take a Honeymoon unitl the summer because of my job. We wanted something we could do for two days close buy after the wedding night. We were thinking of driving out East.

Some people said wine country?????

I have no idea, but I better start thinkign about it soon because it is a holiday weekend.

I have stayed there before, and it was beautiful. My FH took me there to celebrate my 21st b-day with drinks & a stay. The Jacuzzi tub was humungous!

I don’t know for sure that they do any sort of honeymoon suite, but I know that they do weddings (small ones!), so I’m sure they could arrange something for the room.

Also, it is within walking distance of the LIRR, just in case you guys wanted to jet in to the city instead of going out east.
