not too many people have asked what size it is...except my SIL, but she didn't ask to be obnoxious, she just got married, so she's into rings and stuff too. I think it is kind of rude when people ask that question...honestly, does it matter???

Well she is actually right its kind of tacky to ask people that. No matter how big. But when & if they do i guess ill just sock it to them!

I have had people ask 'What is that, TWO CARATS!!!!' I just laugh. But I think it's majorly tacky and rude. I'd never ask such a thing.

I never ask anyone, I think its rude...but I dont mind when people ask me.

I had a vintage setting initially (unfortunately we couldn't have it made any bigger - I have a joint disease and progressively my ring size is getting a little bigger) - so lovely FH got a new ring that will be easier to size if necessary.

I've actually had people say - oh you must be so happy after having that other one.

I loved my first one! I hope that I can wear it again!!!

People can be SO tacky!! I usually just tell them...it saves a lot of time.

ewww people are tacky - ive had total strangers ask as well as people i know....its like the worst feeling ever when people stare and ask questions i get plus its none of their beeswax - shame on them for being tacky!

I dont mind bc i think the people who are asking me are people who want to know for a good reason, such as they like the size so they might want something similar or to be more educated on diamonds etc.

I think it's sooo tacky to ask someone that question! I just read something on the knot about that!

Can you say shallow? Some pesky -- or jealous -- people equate the size of your rock with the size of his love, or how much he thinks you're 'worth'. It can also be their way of gauging how much he earns. Don't stand for it. Smile and quip, 'None of your business!' or ignore the question and muse, 'It's absolutely perfect.' If a good friend asks, he or she is probably just captivated by the sight of the little stunner and blurted out the question before thinking. (On a we're-all-human side note: If you know how many carats the diamond is, does that mean that you asked, too?)'

I don't know either!! I never asked FH because I love it!!! What size it is would not make the slightest difference to me.

I've gotten that a bunch of times...mostly from the girls I work with. If it was from anyone else I'd be offended but for some reason I didn't really care that they asked...none of them are engaged and they were just curious.
