Yup, some crap like he gave her a ring and promised to be the only man in her life.
Like a creepy version of a promise ring/ virginity ring.
Someone else probably knows more about it.
Her dad is quite creepy! You hardly see him and the mother together.
I have a friend Trina who is a writer/producer with them...I think its time to give her a call and see what she knows.

and her dad was not engaged to her--he gave her a promise ring that reminded her to be faithful to her promise to not have sex until she got married. i know dads who have done it before-it's nothing like an engagement--that'd be so gross![]()
Okay, not that i care, but fomr like, the 2 episodes of NW I've seen, he treats her like complete crap and always acts like she's below him. I'm totally not surprised.

Why is it gross. Its her Religion. Strange to you maybe cause its not your religion but not Gross!

I am also an US Weekly addict and I just got a friend of mine a subscription for her birthday, it's my guilty pleasure!! Anyway, as much as Jessica and Nick are such barbie and ken pin up couples, they do grow on you and I am fond of them in some adolescent way, I think Jessica is not totally a dummy, but rather just lets her thoughts or silly questions be verbalized and not always think about her appearing stupid etc.. it's kinda refreshing in Hollywood to see that. So many other actresses and performers put up such a front like they are so smart and wise and down to earth (JLO, Britney, - yet they run off and do the stupidest things). I also think that Nick really loves Jessica a lot and accepts her as she is, he really does a lot for her and is so sweet. I think he realizes that he has what the majority of men want that Bomb Blombshell, all american girl, so if he cheated on her, HE'S THE BIG DUMBELL!! Anyway, I also think the media wants to cause a stir in their marriage because they've been on top for so long and their marriage in America's faces, so they can only stir up scandal at this point. I mean come on, with the ring rumors, who never forgets to walk out of the house with their wedding ring on? But I do think that Jessica and Nick need to take a step back and get away from the public for awhile. As for her Dad and the pressure he puts on, I do think that it must be very annoying that he's her manager, Family and Business usually isn't recommended, I do not blame Nick for feeling like it's an issue in his marriage, hope that situation works it'self out. Anyway thats all for now.
I don't think it's creepy b/c of her religion, I think it's just...creepy. I mean if your religion says no sex until marriage, fine, if you're going to follow that., great. but for your dad to give you something directly related to your sex life? I don't know. I admit I'm not really close with my dad, but that's just too weird!
