Nickname spinoff

Ok, so the nickname thread got me thinking....are their songs with your name in them that you love or hate?

I HATE, HATE, HATE when people sing the Richie Valenz song 'Oh, Donna....' to me. First of all, I don't think anyone has ever been able to sing in tune when they have done it and most times it is when the person first meets me. Like I will find that incredibly amusing and they are the first one to think of it. YUCK!

Well Suzanne -

HATE 'O'Susanna'. In elementary school, everyone used to sing it and make custom verses to go with my life.

Used to like 'Suzanne' by Weezer, but that gets old too. Pretty much don't like people singing when I enter the room. There is also 'Suzanne' by Leonard Cohen that I LOVE - but no one has heard of it really (which may be why I still love it!)

Such a dirty song!!!

One of my nicknames in high school was Lola....so people would sing 'Lola' by the Kinks...adn people would ask me if I was a cross-dresser (I'm not, by the way)

In college, one of my roomates was also named Lori one semester, so we decided she would be Lori and I would be Lo-ri...which led to anothe rnickname of Lo-rider....and the song followed

There are no good songs with Lori in them

There is only one very obscure song that uses my name that I know of.

No songs with my name in it but I pretend a line in the song 'Cruising'...

endlessly (I say 'and Leslie' instead)

Have you gotten 'Once upon a lookin for Donna, she was a 16 year old virgin' - from Hair.
Also, primma Donna was sung to me a lot

But 'Donna' from HAiR is such a good song!

ETA: duh I forgot to answer. My teacher was once singing 'jennifer Juniper' or something to me on a hike...I have no clue what that song is. I like Jennifer Ever and of course the old standard '867-5309'...

Of course my favorite has to be the song with my SN in it 'New Age Girl'
