Niecy's thread brought a funny thought to my brain, does anyone or their FH/DH have bad luck when traveling

I was reading Niecey's thread asking about places in Mexico other then Cancun. I replied and told her how my FI had been to Cozumel and had gotten montazuma's (sp) revenge.

Then I got to thinking. Every vacation he has been on (except last year when we visited our friends in FL) he has had bad luck with vacations.

His first vacation was to Cancun in 1998 (right before he met me) and when he got there, hurricane andrew got there the next day. Hurricane andrew left the day before he did.

His second trip September 1999 was to Cozumel. He got there on a sunday and monday he got montazuma's revenge.

Our first trip to Cancun, Spring break 2000 he got so badly sunburned he couldnt even move. He spent half the time of the trip sitting in the tub soaking in cold water because it was the only thing working. He eventually made it out to the pool, but he was ripe and ready to be picked.

August 2001 he went to Arizona. He hated it so much he came home 3 days earlier then he was suppose too.

So I am convinced he is a jinx with traveling. I warned him, come the HM this jinx of his better be gone.

EVERY Single time we go somewhere he gets lost!! even if its a place we been to like a hundred time..

one time we were going to a giant game at giants stadium and we could acutally SEE the damm stadium but just couldnt get there!!! I laugh about it now but i was gonna kill him that night..

another time we are on our way to lake george for the millionth time, he has to stop and ask the toll booth guy for directions, and the guy says left this way right that way, ect.. and Frank actaully drives away and turns to me and says 'what did he say' i wasn like your friggin kidding me right???

OMG I'd have to strangle him...

Thank god FI is good with directions....though sometimes he gets brain fried and even though he plans on driving to one place we somehow end up driving a different way going towards a different place.

if we went on a 5 hour road trip where there was no map quest and i ripped up the dirctions he would have to live there!! hed never get home!! LOL

Actually...I seem to miss really bad weather in NY when I go away...

I was in AZ last week for the blizzard...
I was in Miami for 20 degree weather...
the summer of 2000 when it rained...I was in China
the heat wave of 1999...I was in Europe

I have probably jinxed myself by writing this though...

When we arrive at the place we are traveling too, everything has been fine, but my FH always gets pulled aside to be searched before getting on the plane, no matter where we are going. And if we have to change flights, he gets checked again, so we are always the last one to get on the planes, while we are the first ones to get there.

I know its not funny BUT

Derek and I went to Florida 9/7/01 and returned 9/10/01... next day 9/11

Derek went to JFK to meet a friend... next day AA plane crashed into the Rockaways.

He needs to stay away from airports!!!!

We both have bad luck traveling! We went on the cruise from hell last summer, then we came home to a refrigerator that was not working! YUCK, then this time around we came home from the Carribbean a few weeks ago and pulled up the shade and it fell from the anchors from the wall, and then the screen door was broken. UGH!!!
