I keep having nightmares that my dress isn't going to fit. When I bought the dress (way back in November) I was trying a size 18 and it was a little snug. The sales lady ordered me a 14W. I went to drop off the dress to see about alterations and pricing and the dress didn't fit!
I know I've gained weight and I'm not going to make excuses. What if I can't get my butt on track? what am I going do? UGH!
There's so many things going on right now I really don't need the added stress but it's all I can think about right now.
just needed to vent....

Re: Nightmare!
were you thinking of losing weight for the wedding? you still have a little less than 5 months.... if you're really stressed out about it, maybe you could return it and order it in another size? you probably have enough time for that if you feel that's a good option. Don't stress... I'm sure everything will work out...

Re: Nightmare!
They will make the dress fit!!
But - can you do try it on asap and see what they can start working on?

I totally understand your anxiety about this. I feel exactly the same way. I told myself after we got engaged that I was going to be committed to getting myself back into shape and lose the weight I had gained. Fast forward to now, over a year later, and I gained. I know I need to get in the right mindset and just get it done. I hope that whatever motivation you need will come your way and I'm sure you will look beautiful on your big day!!

You are not alone!! I had these same nightmares!!! Are you thinking about losing weight? I ended up going back on WW and back to the gym because I was petrified of this very thing..because after I ordered my dress I definitely gained weight!! Don't worry it will work out!!

I always want to lose weight but it's so hard to stick to plans. I really didn't want to go back to WW b/c after everything I have a hard time sticking to it.
I wonder if David's Bridal does returns?

I brought the dress in to Phyllis and it was small but she said she could let it out. I think i've gained a bit since then. Ugh! I don't know what to do!!

Re: Nightmare!
I kept saying I was going to lose weight for the wedding and didn't really get motivated until January...so that gave me about 5 months....I slowly lost 15 pounds following WW and walking. I cheated alot too
Good luck with everything.

I was on WW about 2 years ago and lost 20 lbs. (needless to say I found it again!)
maybe i'll do it on my own....see if that'll help me again.

Re: Nightmare!
Try mine on tonight too Wish me luck. I have been working out but these pre-wedding gitters do get to a girl. You can only eat so many salads and cotttage cheese. You will be a beauty!!!!

Re: Nightmare!
If you were trying on an 18 and it was snug, why in the world would they order you a 14W ? That's definitely too small ! The difference between an 18 and an 18W is about an inch in ll the measurements.
Don't worry too much. That only adds to the stress of trying to lose weight. Convince yourself to go to WW or try Jenny Craig up until your wedding so that the dress will fit better. You just have to put your mind to it. YOU CAN DO IT !!!!!
