have you ever IMd her before? if I were her, I might think it was a little odd to get an IM from you instead of FH directly if he was the one needing the address...She might have thought it was rubbing her nose in it, esp. if you were like 'need the address for the wedding announcement' or something...maybe she just had to go, and will IM with it later...

Whenever I get an IM from a member not on my buddy list a little 'permit' window shows up before I am actually able to view the IM.

It's a way for you to filter out 'Spammers.' Often times, I would just decline the IM without reading the actual message. Maybe she did that?

To that end, an e-mail might be better.

She might not have known who you were and declined the chat as Krissc stated. But I would have done the same thing, I know I don't want to chat with my ex's fiance.
