I dont have pictures, but what about using those crystal bead pebbles or marbles? I think the shine of the crystal beads along with the candle would look nice. I'm not sure what color scheme your weddding is, but you could do deep burgandy colors, rust color... and they are fairly inexpensive. (always a plus!)

Maybe just some rose petals surrounding the candle?
