Yeah, my church doesn't allow them. I didn't get a letter, but when we booked the church we got a notice about what we could and couldn't do and that was on it.

A lot of churches had already banned them for liability, but now the diocese are making blanket policies. Someone on 2011 posted that they got a letter today too.

What diocese is it, Rockville Center? Cause Iour church is in Brooklyn, so I don't know if they're going to catch on by then or not...

YEs, my priest told me that the girls shoes (heels) get stuck in the runner and that causes them to trip. I wanted a runner but I go over it, lol. One less thing to buy.

This is crazy..my church is in bk so I hope im ok..guess ill wait to get my runner
So i just found a pamphlet that my church gave to me over a year ago when I first got engaged and it says that I can use a runner.. hope this doesnt change

I just got a letter from my church today saying that they are discontinuing aisle runners due to safety hazard as they were advised by the diocese department of risk management??? anyone else hear of or receive anything like this??

OMG I have been wondering if I had a Church Twin...I LOVE that parish. It is FH's families parish, his parents got married there as well and from the firts time I saw it I knew we had to get married there!
