No bridal party?

No bridal party?

Has anyone decided they didnt want a bridal party because they just didn't care about the wedding? I'm having an issue like this my entire bridal just doesn't care and they have showed no type of interest. So fh and i have decided we don't even want one. Has anyone been thru this, how does it look in pictures not having a bridal party besides a flower girl?

i'm not having a bridal party- just my brother and his sister and we are calling them 'honor attendants.' i have lots of issues with bridal parties- just from bad personal experiences... i no longer speak to people b/c of their bridezilla ways... i do think bridal parties are nice, we just decided that for us it would be better keeping it simple.

for pictures, i want our photographer to take pics with us and all of our friends together... and of course separate ones with our families...

im personally having a large bridal party, but i think it all depends on how u feel. I have been to events where there is no bridal party and it was wonderful. They are good beause they take pressure off of you, but if you dont want one, dont have one!!!!!!!!!!! its all what you want that day.

You just need a MOH and Best Man. No need for the rest. Pick the 2 people closest to you and your good...

We are having a very small BP - my 2 sisters will both be MOHs (I couldn't pick just one ) and FH is having his 2 best friends as BM.

The people i have chosen have not even attempted to ask me if i need any help...so they are really not doing anything for me. So that is why we dont want one because FH's best man hasn't returned his phone calls and didn't even call FH regarding our wedding date. My MOH just doesn't give a damn at all..its really upsetting.

We had a MOH (best friend from college) and a BM (DH's best friend from college).

Pictures of the four of us looked great. Photographer could take pictures closer-up because we didn't have a bigger bridal party.

I am in the same boat as you. I am having so much drama that if I didnt order the dresses already there is no way I would have one. I think it is fine as long as you havent ordered BM dresses yet.

I'm sorry that your BM is showing no interest. Why would they agree to be in the BP if they did not want to be bothered? I would just have a MOH and BM. I have seen this done before and it looks perfectly fine.

It's okay, i don't mind not having one lol. Thankfully i have not ordered their dresses . I don't even know what to do about the bestman and the moh, because fh's best friend from middle school was going to be the bestman but he hasn't called or returned any phonecalls. My MOH which was going to be my fsil, because my best friend who i really wanted moved to Trinidad and would not be able to come for the wedding. So don't really know what to do .

i think if you want tno BP then thats fine!! i was going to do no BP at all because FH has alot of guys he wanted and I had only a few girls, so we scaled it down to only 2 bridesmaids and one groomsman. but if we couldnt come up with anyone, i would have done no BP

Very true..i guess we may just have cousins be our witnesses and have no bestman or moh..

Such a shame the way people have behaved. I so far only have a MOH and one bridesmaid, and one groomsmen, it's a tough choice. My one friend whos been my friend the longest I think has the idea that I'm going to ask her. But she's so unreliable plus she lives in queens. Its sad I know she wants to do it but the reality is I've seen her behaviour and I know she wouldn't be able to come through for me...

I am only having a MOH and FH is only having a best man. I just saw the way some people acted in my friend's wedding, and I just don't way any part of it. I rather keep it as simple as possible too.

I didn't have a bridal party... no MOH. no bridesmaids or groosmen. It was so much easier and definitely no drama.

If You guy don't want one and are happy with that go for it. You should be happy and relax on your wedding day. You don't need one if you don't want one.

I've been to a wedding where their was no bridal party except for the fg and rb and it was fine.

It was different seeing this because you are so use to going to a wedding that has a full bridal party entourage.

You will be fine!

I was thinking of doing that....but my FH is very close with his friends i think its much easier and better that way...I've been doing everything on my own. I'm definitely not taking them to have pictures taken i'd prefer my family and his.

I am not having a BP. Just MOH which is my SIL (who is so excited) and BM (FH best friend since grammer school) i didnt want all the drama that alot of girls have with the bridal party. It is so much easier. I am so sorry that you are going through this. I think some people are just jealous.

I am just having best man/maid of honor (FH best friend - and my daughter) -- my son will be giving me away w/ my dad... and 2 flower girls , my nieces.. i didnt want to have to deal w/ a 'bridal party' ...I know my kids care..of course..and FH's best man is like his brother.. so we are having no issues, which is just how i wanted it.
There is nothing wrong w/ not having a typical bridal party and i think more and more people are doing that nowadays!
