No Bridal shower for me

Just found out I won't be having one..
My few friends are in other states and my family is overseas.
So I get a call from one of my BM telling me that they don't have the money for two trips.
Oh well ~some one get me some tissuessssss....

Oh that is terrible-Maybe they will surprise you with something small right before the wedding.

I wish, but I know for sure they won't be.
I understand that is expensive to travel, throw a party and then travel again for the wedding. Just sad that I won't experience what a bridal shower is like (I've never been to one either)

They'll get here a day before the wedding. FH is on the same boat. He has zero friends here.

throw yourself a bridal shower!!!!! that's what we are doing! we are having a jack and jill shower and inviting men and women and having a bbq in my parent's backyard! also, if you don't have a yard to have it in, you can have it at one of your town parks! you can get a permit for alcohol! also, your wedding is in oct like mine, so you can have it in the summer! perfect weather!!! Maybe you'll have a bunch of 'mini' showers, I'm sorry you're upset about it, but there is a silver lining to this and I'm sure your friends and family are doing everything they can.
