What would you do if you received a gift and had NO clue who gave it to you?
I'm not sure what to do.

was it mailed to you by your registry? I would try to call the company if that was the case.

Hmmm maybe ask your parents or DH's parents and see if anyone mentioned to them that particular gift? But now that I'm thinking about it, you've probably already done that!
well if they didn't put a card with it, they can't expect you guys to be the Amazing Kreskin and know who it's from...

I asked DH to check it out tomorrow. It was from BB&B and there's a chance they keep a record.
Our only problem was that it was a duplicate so we returned it so i'm not sure they keep things like that...its worth a shot though.

If the registry thing doesn't work we're going to try that....i just feel so wierd asking people that already gave a gift if it was theirs.

No it was a wedding gift. We had a few gifts given but not many.

did you match up all the other gifts/money with a person so far i would leave it to the side and go back a the end to see who was left

we kind of had something like that. at the time of our eparty, bbb had a promotion where you get a $50 giftcard for every $200 of lenox purchased.
about a month after our party we got a $50 gc in the mail. the receipt referenced the lenox promotion but had our info as the purchaser and the recipient.
my grandma bought us a lot of china, but then she went back and used the gcs to buy the matching accent plates. a few other people bought us china as well, so i asked my mom what to do. her best friend said her gift card was mailed to her own house, and we decided not to start tracking down everyone else because it would put them on the spot if it wasnt from them. sooooooo we dont know who the gift card is from (or if they realize they even had it sent to us!)
maybe if you dont acknowledge it someone will comment? or the store can figure it out?
