Re: No gifts?

for our engagement yes.. it is customary for us to give something to the future couple.. but anyway..

I wrote

Thank you for your presence and blessings. It was great to see ___ , ___, and we wish you to see you at our wedding.

I felt that they needed to be acknowledged.. it could have been that they forgot, or was an honest mistake and then they felt weird addressing it...

My none gifters (no cards either) were all OOTers...so i wrote 'thank you so much for making the trip and being a part of our day...it meant alot to have you there to celebrate with us!'...

What i wanted to write...'What? You couldn't even take one of the notecards I gave you as a favor & write a little something???' I understand no gift and am fine with that...but write a freakin' card!

I know that my mom has come home from more than one wedding with the card (with a check) still in her purse. She was just having too much fun and forgot to put it in the card box. And technically, don't people have a year to give a gift. Maybe writing them a card thanking them for coming will remind them that they walked off with your gift.
