No groomsmen and really upset

Although we have a few months before we plan on asking our friends to be in our bridal party, my FH recently decided he doesn't want to have any groomsmen. He just wants his best friend to be the best man bc he thinks everyone else is unrealiable & he's just not interested in having them. I have 4BM (3 friends and sister) and my other sister is my MOH. I totally understand where he is coming from but I can't help but think it's going to look horrible... the pictures, walking down the isle, getting announced during the reception--5 girls and 1 guy. What do you all think? Thanks!

i honestly dont htin kit will be a problem. im having ALL groomsmen and no bridesmaids.

thats a tough one but I've learned its YOUR WEDDING and there are no rules except the ones YOU make. So whatever decision you make it will be fine

I don't think it's weird at all for the girls to exit the ceremony and be introduced by themselves. And a creative photographer will make your pictures look great despite the uneven numbers. Don't worry.

I think that as long as you and FH are happy with it.. it will be fine!! All the girls will walk separately.. and your photographer will position everyone correctly to make it look fine!

i wouldnt worry. if your fh thinks theyre unreliable, it may cause you so many problems and aggravation when the time comes and theyre no where to be found. do you have any male cousins or brothers that mean a lot to you that you could put in as groomsmen? my fh is having my brother and one of my cousins with his friends as groomsmen. thats always a choice

I don't think it will look bad, I actually like the girls walking down the aisle on their own, it looks prettier and your pics will look pretty no matter what.

Just think of it in a positive way.....less bridal party gifts to buy, less flowers to buy

there's no rule for these things!!! there are some amazing untraditional wedding parties out there these days!!! (all men, uneven sides, guys on girls' side, girls on guys' side, etc.....) the photos will look great no matter whose in your party and the day will be perfect!!!

Every wedding is different it will be fine and you can make it work. dont just put people in the bp so it looks good.

i've seen girls walk down by themselves.. or even pair up to walk down the aisle... it's not that horrible.. you just have to make sure it's what you both want.... and you're right you stil have a lot of time before you have to ask... FH changed his mind about 4 times already.. so no worries...

Whatever ends up happening, I'm sure you can make it work beautifully. And really - it might be better not to have 'unreliable' groomsmen. At least you'll know what you're going in with and can be prepared - instead of having one or more of them disappear right before the ceremony!

It's gonna be fine. I'd rather have no groomsmen (or bridesmaids) then have to deal with unreliable ones.

i dont think its a prob.... i actually might have 1 moh and let FH have his 5 guys.... i dont care how it looks... so bottom line, if you are okay with it then go with it and stop worrying about how it might look

You gotta do what you want. Don't worry- your pictures will come out fine! And, if you are concerned, do you have any brothers or male cousins that could be groomsmen? That's always an option!

I think it will befine. The bridal party is supposed to be the people that you want beside you as you take your vows. If FH doesn't want those people who cares what it may 'look' like. It will be beautiful and fine!
