Did you spend a lot on it? Could you sell it on e-bay? I hate to tell you to get a new one because I know that you had to start all over again with jewelry - but maybe you should find a headpiece (or comb or hair pins) that you really love.

I'd look around and see if you find something else so you're comfy on the big day. Could it be you're just second guessing yourself or did you really buy it under duress? I worried about that with my dress because the nuts that were with me were so crazed that I went ahead and ordered it, then got nervous a few days later that maybe I'm not in love with it. Turns out, it's all good, went for a visit and fell in love!

ETA: post a pic if you have one

I agree. Your headpiece will be in all of your pictures of yourself and you really should love it. If you can sell it, I would do that.

I'm feeling the same way about mine. I'm thinking about just using clips now instead of the tiara. Maybe try fixing your hair the way you want it for the wedding so you can get a better idea.

I hated every tiara I tried on - but my stepmom found one that I loved - more like a crystal headband vs a tiara!

If you can swing it.....I'd say to get another piece that you love and keep them both handy. Once you get closer to the date and you try them both on with you dress, it might be easier to envision?
You can always sell EVERYTHING after the wedding? Good Luck!

I say go for it and try to find a new one. You should be happy with it!!

You can always sell the other one on Ebay!! (Which is what I have to do with the first 2 tiaras I bought!!)

i agree with all the other girls - if you want a new one- than get one. but i would ak yourself what is it that you really dont like about it??
personally - i bought my headpiece off e-bay last week. (i didnt receive it yet) but i found head piece shopping a bit overwhelming. i felt like a lot of the ones i kept trying on looked similiar to each other. and i really didnt like how much time it was taking me to find one. (i have the patience of a 5 yr old) so unless you are going from a giant crown like one to a small comb - i would really stop and think about what it is that you dont like and if its worth the investment in a new one.

either way - you gotta do what makes you happy. if a tiara is giving you stress - than buy whatever one that lets you rest easy.

good luck

i did the same thing when my dress came in....realized that my old tiara wouldn't work...so i sold it on ebay and got a new one.

my advice to future brides is to wait till your dress comes in to decide on your headpiece/veil...unless you choose it all at the first shot.

I feel your pain. I couldnt find any tiara that I liked, and I tried one on and right away I was like 'I want this one' didn't even give it a second thought. Now, I dont know if i'm really crazy about it.

this is great advice...I second it. I unfortunately had no patience and bought early. I'll have to see what I will do.

sorry to hear jess!!! If you're really not happy with it, why not get another? You can always try to sell it on here, or ebay!

I don't really like mine either. It's more of a headband and it has crystals all over. My FMIL picked it out when I got my dress. It doesn't feel as elegant as I would like it to.

Jess,

If you really are unhappy with your headpiece try looking at Princess Bride Tiaras . They have some really nice ones and many of them are on sale or not expensive.
