From here on out, I could burn a bible, kick a nun, curse at the Pope...I go to Heaven, because I spent last night...
baking heart shaped cookies (by myself!) for my EX HUSBAND (the lyin', cheatin' ba$tard!)
fh took my 8 yr old daughter shopping to get me a valentines day gift, but I had promised her that I would help her bake her Dad cookies ( a gift from the heart, she said)
so - she was torn between getting my gift or baking him cookies, so...
I offered to make the cookies while she shopped, and she could decorate them when she got home.
so there I was, alone in my kitchen, cutting little heart shaped cookies out of cookie dough for my ex-husband!

you have no idea how much self control it took to keep the extra ingredients out of the cookies....the ex lax was calling me - I could HEAR IT!!!
but, she might eat a couple of cookies with him - so I decided against it!
He would SO deserve it, though.....

Thank you for the compliments, but I am not a saint, or mother of the year...
it's just the kind of stuff you'd do for your kids, too...you'll see (although I pray that none of you are dealing with EX husbands!)
but I gotta tell you...

Awww but just think when she's older you can tell her things like this and she'll really appreciate it. My Dad raised my sister and I and he's told us a lot, like how he used to put presents under the tree with my Moms name on them for us so we wouldn't think she didn't get us anything. And I just adore him that much more for doing things like that. So you really are a great Mom!

I would've put 'special' chocolate chips on...preferably Ex-Lax! hahaha...it's nice to see that you put your daughter's needs before your own personal feelings...way to go!!
